The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has removed the names of Ahmed Yayari and Daniel Woyengikuro from its portal as PDP National Treasurer and National Financial Secretary, respectively.
The two party officials were replaced with Odeyemi Mackson Oladiran and Eyim Donatus Henry as the new executives.
Oladiran and Henry emerged as National Treasurer and National Financial Secretary, respectively, on Sunday
March 29th, through a consensus, along with 19 other members, at the party’s 2026 national convention, held at the velodrome of the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.
Ahmed and Daniel, whose names were removed, are part of the Seyi Makinde-backed Kabiru Turaki faction, while Odeyemi and Eyim are members of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike’s faction, which is also the recognised faction of the PDP.
INEC had earlier recognised the FCT Minister’s faction by putting the names of Abdulrahman Mohammed as the National Chairman and Samuel Anyanwu as the National Secretary, but had left the names of Ahmed Yayari and Daniel as part of the executives, a situation which created confusion.
With the recent update on its portal, all members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the PDP on INEC’s portal are now aligned with FCT Minister Nyesom Wike.
The list of Wike-backed PDP NWC members also includes Deputy National Chairman (South), Aaron Chukwuemeka; Deputy National Chairman (North), Yusuf Nya Akirikwen, SAN; Deputy National Secretary, Kolawale Olabisi; National Treasurer, Odeyemi Mackson Oladiran; Deputy National Treasurer, Lado Dan Marke; National Financial Secretary, Eyim Donatus Henry; and Deputy National Financial Secretary, Dr Grema Kyari.
Others are National Organising Secretary, Umar Mohammed Bature; Deputy National Organising Secretary, Efere Augustine; National Publicity Secretary, Jungudo Haruna Mohammed; Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Egwu Goodluck Chidiere; Deputy National Legal Adviser, Barr. Aloysius Chinemelu Uba; National Auditor, Osuoha Okechukwu Donatus; Deputy National Auditor, Dr Adaba Ozohu Seri Yatu; National Women Leader, Prof. Ogunshe Adenike Adedayo; Deputy National Women Leader, Hauwa Ahmed Shinge; National Youth Leader, Ibrahim Bala Aboki; and Deputy National Youth Leader, Momoh Dejihi Eugene Bashir.
